Mobile & Full-Stack Developer — Edge AI, Flutter, Deployed Systems
I build things that ship and keep running without me: an offline cacao-disease detector farmers use in the field, a records system a provincial health office runs today, attendance bots professors still rely on. Undergraduate Thesis
CAPE — Cacao Application for Pod Evaluation
Edge AI mobile app, architected and solely developed end-to-end
Cacao farmers lose crop to pod disease they often can't identify in time, and field sites rarely have reliable signal. CAPE puts detection in their pocket instead of on a server: a custom YOLOv11s model, exported to ONNX, running real-time inference entirely on-device.
I built the full stack myself, frontend and backend. When it came time to validate the model against real cacao expertise, I reached out to DOST-PCAARRD for a referral to people who actually know cacao disease. That led to CFAN, the Cacao Farmers Association of Nagcarlan — I brought the finished app to their experts and members for hands-on field testing against real pods in real light, not clean training photos.
